YLP Summer Conference 10/06/22

We are committed to ensuring our members are kept fully up to date with key policy developments locally, regionally, and nationally and have a wide range of communication channels to complete this.  We will hold conferences, workshops, and roundtable events throughout the year to bring key themes, policy focus and discussion points to the table for all members & partners to engage with.  We commit to hold at least 2 regional skills conferences per year, plus sub-regional network meetings in WY & NY for members to attend and listen to guest speakers and industry experts. 

We also offer an extensive CPD & support programme for members, which include but is not limited to the following –

  • Celebrating skills across Yorkshire conferences
  • Monthly quality corner
  • ESFA Apprenticeship roundtable
  • World Skills UK – Yorkshire partnership meetings
  • Quality & inclusion conference
  • WellFest
  • Safeguarding & Prevent workshops
  • Green Skills & Sustainable development
  • Plus lots & lots of sector & place based CPD

We work with a wide range of partners and sector bodies, such as ESFA, Ofsted, AELP, AoC, WYCA, YNY LEP, HEY LEP, and the chambers of commerce so we can bring key topics & guest speakers to the members & ensure Yorkshire skills needs & responses are on the table and listened to.  

We are also launching our sector spotlight workshops, brining together providers, awarding organisations and employers or sector bodies covering a range of areas that members feel they would like additional support or discussion on.  The first sector group set up is in Health & Social care in response to our Skills Connect programme.
