YLP can provide support to identify how we can develop systems to ensure well planned programmes are in place.

A clear and robust quality cycle is essential for the quality improvement of provision.  This ensure that provision is monitored on a regular basis and feedback obtained to ensure consistent improvement and contributes to a clear and accurate SAR and QIP.

A clear, robust strategy for how providers are committed to developing learners English and maths is a must.  This needs to set out how English & maths will be supported throughout the learners’ journey, from initial assessment to upskilling, stretch and challenge, additional learner support, resources, CPD for staff and progressions.  YLP can help providers develop their strategy and complete an English and maths health check to identify areas for further development to enhance your service to learners.

The key to ensuring quality improvement is at the heart of your business is to have it clearly defined and understood by all.  This includes developing a holistic quality cycle that highlights the key activities to review and monitor, how to communicate and share this effectively and developing governance and leadership arrangements.

It is essential that providers understand the fundamental differences between quality improvement, quality assurance and compliance to ensure they meet all requirements of ESFA, Ofsted, EPA, AO’s and external quality standards.

Quality improvement visits can be completed onsite or via desk-based review, but we recommend an initial face to face meeting to discuss arrangements and evidence base in order to make sound judgements and recommendations.
