North Yorkshire Learning Providers

North Yorkshire Learning Providers (NYLP) is a network of FE sector organisations who operate across North Yorkshire for the delivery of funded post-16 education programmes at a local, regional, or national level.  The North Yorkshire Learning Providers Network provides a united voice, advice & guidance on key skills issues, developments and initiatives, liaison, and communication with LEP, AoC, AELP, Local Authorities, DwP, Ofsted and other key stakeholders across York & North Yorkshire.

NYLP is a dedicated support and resource for York & North Yorkshire, developed and managed by WYLP.  WYLP has over seventeen years’ experience in running a successful network, partnership working and network support. NYLP is working closely and collaboratively with the York, North Yorkshire LEP and many of the councils across the YNY region and will continue to develop and evolve this partnership working for the good of the members and our united voice.

NYLP colleagues are working closely and collaboratively with the York, North Yorkshire LEP, many of the councils across the YNY region, key stakeholders and partners and will continue to develop and evolve this partnership working for the good of the members across the districts & region.

There are many benefits of local and regional networks, which have been well documented over the years:

Opportunities to network with other providers on issues that are important

The opportunity to send information and issues to government departments and to have meaningful discussion about the issues that affect us

The opportunity to collaborate on funding and working opportunities

The opportunity to access guidance and support from peer and training events

Network meetings with input and updates from key agencies

WYLP has worked hard to provide support and guidance for providers and to be the voice of skills and training. We believe that it is vital to the success of our sector that we have the opportunity to support deliverers and welcome the opportunity to invite colleagues in North Yorkshire to join us.

Chair WYLP Board

NCFE has, for several years now, worked in partnership with regional networks to inform providers and provide support around the significant changes and subsequent effects of educational reform.

NCFE  has delivered events including: updates on localised devolution, EPA best practice EPA and key information on the functional skills reform. We acknowledge the great need for regional togetherness at this time and local area insight is more vital now than ever.

In addition to working with the Northern Regional networks, we also sit on the board of the Northern Skills Network to help promote and provide wider reaching change across the North.”
