West Yorkshire Learning Providers (WYLP) operates the single largest employment and skills network in the region and works locally, regionally and nationally to bring members the latest updates, developments, advice and guidance on FE, skills, LEP and stakeholder business.
WYLP has over ten years of experience in partnership working and network support and is a key partner in the Leeds City Region employment & skills board part of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP). We also have excellent communication channels with government agencies such as the Education & Skills Funding Agency, National Apprenticeships Service, National Careers Service and Jobcentre Plus. WYLP is a member of the strategic group for the Association of Employment & Learning Providers (AELP), a member of the BIS funded National Provider Group for Prevent and a member of many national special interest groups in order to gain valuable knowledge to support network members. WYLP represent our member’s views on vital issues on Apprenticeship, Employment and Skills at district level across the Leeds City Region.
New members will quickly feel the benefit of being part of the WYLP network and receive the support needed to deliver quality Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Skills training. You will have access to a Matrix accredited quality information & advice service delivered by committed staff, be able to attend network conferences for free and receive regular updates and information on the very latest policies and developments across the sector. WYLP offer members a wide range of advice & guidance, CPD opportunities and quality consultation support, whilst being actively involved in lobbying nationally to ensure our member’s voice is heard.
WYLP is a key member & represented on the board of the Northern Provider Network, that brings together all provider networks from across the North of England to discuss key issues and developments within the sector.
WYLP promote Apprenticeships and Traineeships to young people, schools, parents and employers through the variety of careers & engagement events. We work in partnership with the national apprenticeship service and local authorities in organising local events and we coordinate the Apprenticeship Knowledge in Schools project across West Yorkshire.
As a training provider you can become a member of the network for £550 per annum. For this you will receive weekly communication updates, networking conferences throughout the year, marketing & promotion of your skills offer to schools, employers, parents and stakeholders, on-going advice, guidance and support on issues that affect providers, reduced rates & discounts on training and CPD vital to skills providers and your voice heard on a local, regional and national platform.
