‘Provider Train’ is a new skills initiative that will develop additional training provider resources across the Yorkshire and Humber region and is funded by the LSC and European Social Fund. The project is designed to improve the capacity and capability of training within small organisations with less than 50 staff by increasing the number of assessors, verifiers and other delivery opportunities which will enable the delivery of occupationally relevant qualifications and provide responsive and flexible work based learning.
The Objectives of the project is to: - Increase the number of assessor and verifier qualifications
- Increase the number of delivery staff qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Learning and Development
- Increase the number of delivery staff qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Key Skills Teaching qualifications
- Increase the number of delivery staff qualified to a minimum of level 4/5 in Skills for Life teaching qualifications
- Increase the number of delivery staff qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Skills for Life Subject Support qualifications
- Increase the number of delivery staff qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Preparing to teach in the Life Long Learning Sector (PTTLS)
- Increase the number of Voluntary and Community staff qualified in order for them to deliver NVQs and apprenticeships in the workplace
- Increase the number of employers accessing Train to Gain funding

Employers Eligibility- Workforce of less than 50 staff
- Have a balance sheet of no more than £29.24m or an annual turnover of more than £34m
- Not be a Public Limited Company
