The WYLP Network meeting with the LSC’s Regional Director took place at Bradford 7th July, where it was discussed that the Yorkshire & Humber region’s providers were forecasting a 6% increase for 16-18 participation on Apprenticeships in the 2008/09 contract year.
The LSC agreed last week to pilot offering E2E places to Apprenticeship contract holders to enable them to take on potential Apprentices who are not quite ready to embark on a full Apprenticeship programme.
On Monday 25 February the third annual Wakefield Apprenticeship Evening took place at the Chasley Hotel, Wakefield. This year it was a special occasion as it also marked the start of the Learning and Skills Council’s National Apprenticeship Week, which aimed to celebrate success and encourage more employers to take on Apprentices.
